Hi guys,
So I think we've all felt that utter fatigue and lack of inspiration that comes in the midst of a project when you've had setback after setback or you've just been continuing with something for so long that it's hard to stay excited about it. When it involves physical exhaustion and trying to be the leader of a team and keep everyone else inspired as well, it can be almost impossible to keep the spirit of the endeavor in mind and maintain your own excitement about a project.
Can people please share their experiences with this and how they have overcome this in the past?
Thanks!
Andrea

It always helps me to find a new way to look at the project or a fresh take that gives you some fresh excitement about what you are working on. Here are some of the things I try : Is there a different aspect of the project you can work on that is different enough that you can approach it with fresh energy? Another approach is to clean up your project files (if you have them) or your workspace maybe it is because I am a control freak but a fresh clean work space (whether it is a room or a clean computer desktop) helps me clear my thoughts a bit. What else can you do for inspiration? I watch movies, read books-I sometimes go to a bookstore and just browse books for hours, I love the sheer volume of ideas and pictures and thoughts and it sometimes feeds my energy. A trip to a museum. That was one of the best things about living in NYC, you were within blocks of some of the best museums on the planet. Museums are great places to walk quietly, think, sit and just let stuff flow in or out of you. Two more ideas-physical activity. Sometimes a completely different but physically exhausting pursuit can free the mind of all the garbage that it collects on a daily basis. Lastly. Driving. Get on the highway and just point it in a direction. What is nice about highway driving is that it allows you to let your mind drift and play. Long drives have been the source of a lot of ideas for me. Hope this helps.
Hey Greg,
That's great! Yes, I miss the Smithsonian in DC like crazy.
